Both the Dynamic Island and the Lock Screen’s Now Playing widget display an animated waveform whenever you play any form of media on your device. On both the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen’s Now Playing widget, the waveform normally appears opposite of the album artwork of whatever you’re listening to.
But if you aren’t fond of looking at the waveform animation, either because you’re interested in saving system resources or you prefer a motionless user interface, then you might come to appreciate a new and free jailbreak tweak dubbed NoWaveForm by iOS developer Nathan Senter.
In the screenshot example above, you can see how the waveform gets removed from the right side of the Now Playing widget after installing the NoWaveForm jailbreak tweak. All other parts of the widget remain intact and fully functional.
As for the Dynamic Island, using the NoWaveForm jailbreak tweak hides the waveform from it, but the empty space where the waveform would have been remains. Nathan recommends using his MiniIsland jailbreak tweak along with it so that the hidden waveform area gets removed from the Dynamic Island for a more visually appealing effect:
If you’re interested in removing the waveform from your device’s Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, then you can find the NoWaveForm jailbreak tweak in Nathan’s personal repository via your favorite package manager app. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 15 and 16 devices. Even if you don’t have a jailbroken iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max, the tweak can be used on non-Dynamic Island devices for the Lock Screen alone.
Anyone who using already using Nathan’s repository can add it to their device by using the URL that we’ve provided below:
