Tim Cook Teases “iPhone 16E” Launch Next Wednesday

Tim Cook might have teased “iPhone 16SE” launch coming next Wednesday. Here are the details on this.

In a post published on X platform, Apple CEO Tim Cook has shared “Get ready to meet the newest member of the family. Wednesday, February 19.” which might hint at upcoming iPhone SE launch.

Given Cook explicitly says “newest member”, we think iPhone SE might be getting a branding change, and might be called “iPhone 16E” this time to coincide with naming of iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

No matter what the case might be with the naming, one thing is for sure. and that is that we are getting a new Apple product next week, and it will likely be the budget iPhone we have been waiting for.

The said budget iPhone will likely feature A18 chip, a larger 6.1-inch OLED display, Face ID, a USB-C port, and Apple Intelligence support. It will also come with a notch from iPhone X days.

Whether Apple will have anything else to announce beside the aforementioned budget iPhone remains to be same, it’s likely that announcements will come in the form of press release instead of a keynote event, following by videos on them published on Apple’s official channel on YouTube.

We will of course cover Apple’s announcements from next Wednesday, February 19 in detail here on Redmond Pie. Stay tuned to us for more on this space.
