ALTToday, Julie Packard, the Aquarium’s first and only executive director, announced she’ll be transitioning from the executive director role to assume a leadership role on the Aquarium’s Board of Trustees.
“It’s been an honor and a privilege to lead the Monterey Bay Aquarium for the past 40 years,” Packard said. “It’s time to pass the torch to a new leader who will chart the Aquarium’s course in the decades to come.”
With fronds like you, we’ve built a strong foundation over the past 40 years. The Aquarium is the best in the world and will continue making a positive difference for the future of the ocean and we’re excited to sea what comes next!
