Triton X SEAVU Collab Presents A Paramount Opportunity For Industry Innovation | Reef Builders

For more than a decade, Triton Applied Reef Bioscience has been at the forefront of the industry in terms of innovation. Among many other achievements, they were the first to introduce both ICP and TOC analysis to the industry. However, Triton hasn’t stopped there. They still conduct rigorous R&D and continue to build out a database filled with ICP and N-DOC data from locations on wild reefs.

Taking samples from natural reef and ocean environments worldwide helps Triton continue to develop and update its trace element and organic carbon set points, further optimizing its already successful method by gaining a larger sample size.

Seavu is a company that makes livestream-capable submersible cameras designed to drift from a boat. Triton’s recent collaboration with them opens up a whole new window of opportunity to dial in their sample collection. The crew no longer has to get into the water to find sample sites, which allows them to mark areas of interest for future expeditions if the camera picks up something cool.

This flexibility is likely to make research exhibitions much more productive, helping Triton continue gleaning useful information from nature to apply to our tanks at home.
