Patreon Updates
As a thank you to our supporting Patrons on Patreon at the $10 or higher tier, we’re adding a new benefit! We will be launching an EARLY ACCESS release of the Pick of the Week podcast, ad-free, on Saturdays. For non-patrons nothing will change and the show will continue to come out on Sundays as it always has.
Also, we’ve got a NEW SHOW only for Patrons! Over the years one of the most common bits of feedback from listeners has been “aw, you didn’t talk about this book or that book on the show.” Well, now on The iFanboy After Show we will give our thoughts on all the books that we read every week that didn’t make this show. The iFanboy After Show will be exclusively available on patreon.com/ifanboy to Patrons at the $10 or higher tier. Existing patrons at the free or $5 tier can upgrade their membership to get access to this new show, starting this week!
For those of you on YouTube, we’re going to be enhancing the version of the podcast that releases there. For a few years we’ve been putting this show on YouTube in audio only but now we’re turning the cameras on! You’ll be able to watch the show every week, if you choose to do so. This is going to be an evolving work in progress, as we make it more graphically snazzy as the year progresses. Make sure you subscribe to our channel and like those videos!
Programming Updates
For the past few years, we’ve have released six Booksplodes and six Talksplodes a year, alternating months. Going forward, there will still be 12 shows a year, but we are going to be more flexible with the balance. We wanted to loosen up the production schedule and not be super dependent on booking creators for interviews, which can be a challenge. The most important thing for us is the quality of the releases and we want to make sure we have the time to give you the best conversation about comics in the world. As for the Mediasplodes, nothing changes there and we’ll continue to have 11 Mediasplodes a year along with Special Edition podcasts to align with movie, TV and animation releases.
And this is just the beginning! 2025 is going to be big for iFanboy and we couldn’t do it without you, our loyal patrons!
