Heads Up! Two iPhone and iPad Security Bugs – Update Now!

Apple has just rolled out an urgent update to fix two nasty security holes that hackers are actively exploiting. If you’ve got an iPhone or iPad, this is your cue to hit that update button!

What’s Going On?

These are called zero-day vulnerabilities – basically, flaws that attackers find before Apple can patch them. That means they’re super dangerous because hackers can sneak in without you knowing.

The Two Bugs

  • Bug #1: A glitch in Safari’s engine (WebKit) that could let hackers run bad code if you visit a dodgy website.
  • Bug #2: Another WebKit issue that could crash your device or let attackers take control.

Affected devices include:

  • iPhones: iPhone 11 and newer
  • iPads: Most recent models (iPad Pro, Air, mini, and standard)

Apple has fixed these in iOS 26.2 and iPadOS 26.2 (and older devices get iOS 18.7.3).

Why Should You Care?

Even if you’re not a celebrity or a CEO, once hackers know about these bugs, they often go after everyone. Updating is the easiest way to keep your personal info safe.

How to Update (It’s Easy!)

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap General
  3. Tap Software Update
  4. If you see an update, tap Download and Install
  5. Restart your device when it’s done

Pro Tip: Turn on Automatic Updates so you never have to worry again. Find it under Settings → General → Software Update → Automatic Updates.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
