The Valuable Feedback Loop – by Gennaro Cuofano

Most organizations fall into the trap of believing that feedback loops are simply about listening to the market.

They collect customer surveys, analyze user behavior, and respond to market signals, thinking this constitutes a complete feedback system.

But this approach is fundamentally flawed; it’s reactive, passive, and ultimately creates little sustainable value.

A true feedback loop can’t be based solely on market feedback. It also needs to include a prediction about how the world works, a forward-looking statement that gets validated and corroborated by action and feedback.

This tension between prediction and correction is what makes a feedback loop valuable, as long as it can distinguish between data points and noise.
