On first load, the world clock automatically displays live time for selected major cities across all continents. Times update every second, and you can hover over a time for time zone information. (Tap and hold on mobile).
Basic features
- Live Time Display: Real-time clocks for major cities including New York, London, Tokyo, Sydney, and more major cities.
- Time Format Toggle: Switch between 12-hour (AM/PM) and 24-hour formats using the buttons in the top right
- Day/Night Indicators: Subtle visual cues show whether it’s business hours, evening, or night in each city
- UTC Offset Details: Hover over any city name (tap and hold on mobile) to see timezone details and UTC offset information
- Status Labels: Each clock shows contextual status such as Business Hours, Evening, Late Night, or Early Morning
Customization options
- Add Custom Cities: Click the green Add City button to search from over 150,000 cities worldwide
- Smart City Search: Type a city name and get intelligent suggestions with country and attempted timezone auto-detection
- Drag and Drop: Reorder clocks by dragging them to your preferred arrangement
- Remove Clocks: Hover over any clock (or tap on mobile) and click the × button to remove it
- Edit Custom Clocks: Click the edit (✎) button on custom clocks to modify the city or timezone
- Reset Option: Use the Reset button to restore all default cities and clear customization
Advanced features
- Persistent Settings: You won’t notice this until you visit us again, but your custom cities, preferred time format, and clock order are automatically saved in your browser locally
- Daylight Saving Time: Automatically accounts for DST transitions and displays “(DST)” indicator when applicable
- New Year’s Celebration: Come back just before midnight on New Year’s in any of the cities you display for… well, come back and see
