Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity selects Medialab for media planning and buying account – Marketing Communication News

Independent media agency chosen following a closed pitch

Medialab, the UK’s leading independent media agency, has won the full media planning and buying account for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity). This reinforces a long-standing relationship between the two that spans more than eight years.

Medialab and GOSH Charity first partnered in 2016 on the charity’s Christmas Inserts brief. Following impressive success, Medialab went on to win the charity’s Direct Mail and Door Drop accounts in 2017, before then working with GOSH Charity’s Individual Giving and Legacy teams.

In 2023, Medialab expanded its role even further by planning GOSH Charity’s digital and TV activity for the first time for their Build it. Beat it. campaign – the biggest and most ambitious fundraising appeal in the charity’s history to help build a world-leading Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Now, Medialab will be responsible for all media planning and buying for the charity’s brand and mass fundraising activities.

Alex Kirk, Managing Director at Medialab, said: “We are thrilled to, once again, organically grow our partnership with GOSH Charity, helping them continue to support the lives of seriously ill children and their families from across the UK. Medialab’s collaborative, data-driven approach will support GOSH Charity in achieving its income and fundraising goals, helping them to give seriously ill children the best chance, and best childhood possible.”

Emma Guise, GOSH Charity’s Director of Marketing and Communications, said: “It is a hugely exciting time for GOSH Charity, with a number of high-profile campaigns and flagship projects on the horizon. Having relaunched our brand and being in the midst of the biggest fundraising appeal in our history, we need a more strategic approach to help us deliver our ambitious objectives.

“We’re very much looking forward to building on the strong relationship we already have with Medialab and working together to do even more for seriously ill children and their families across the UK.”

This win builds on Medialab’s recent successes, following new business wins including Sharps Bedrooms, Hovis, Phoenix Group and Save the Children UK.
