Best Breakfast Spots in Downtown Sarasota

Whether you’re in the mood for a healthy Avocado Toast or if you’re craving a fluffy stack of golden pancakes, Downtown Sarasota offers an excellent array of breakfast to choose from.

400 North Lemon Avenue, Sarasota, Florida 34236

I love coming here because of the story behind it. The building originated as a railroad depot in Kentland, Indiana, built in 1852. How cool? The depot was carefully moved and restored in Sarasota to recreate the feeling of the original, giving an atmosphere full of history and charm.

You can come here for delicious egg platters, pancakes, waffles, french toast, and baked goods.

I have two favorite dishes here, the Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast and Steak & Eggs. Chef’s kiss!

1395 Main St, Sarasota, FL 34236

First Watch has juices they make fresh daily. If you want a green juice that actually tastes good, you have to try their Kale Tonic. You won’t even realize you’re drinking kale, I promise! They also have amazing seasonal specials. My husband loves their pumpkin pancakes in the fall.

Here, you can get get breakfast or lunch all day!

Crepes anyone?

Can I be completely honest? I’ve never actually tried a crepe before. However, if I am going to try one, this is the place I’ll go. Or Mademoiselle (also on this list).

I have had their croissants and fritattas. They are very good! C’est La Vie is a great place to sit outdoors to enjoy the beautiful Florida weather.

10 S Lemon Ave, Sarasota, FL 34236

Here, you can get gourmet toasts, cold-press juices, acai bowls, smoothies, coffee, & more.

I haven’t tried this place yet, but I am excited to! I am 1000% trying their avocado toast. If you can’t already tell, I am an avo toast gal.

1377 Main St, Sarasota, FL 34236

Green Zebra is a little gem. I love this place. I have had one of their scrambles and it did not disappoint. They serve a nice variety of fresh cold-pressed juices, omelettes, toasts, pancakes, and more.

With lots of vegan and gluten free options, there is something here for everyone!

1605 Main St, Adelia Ave, Sarasota, FL 34236

We love the breakfast potatoes here. They are little golden potato cubes made to perfection. They have incredible quiches here too! My favorite is the Mademoiselle Quiche with smoked salmon, sun dried tomatoes, spinach, & goat cheese.

1817 Fruitville Rd, Sarasota, FL 34236

This is another one that I have yet to try. I know they are known for their pancakes. It’s a really cute space because it’s actually a house that they made into a restaurant. Looking at the menu, it is quite affordable and they have a good variety of breakfast options to choose from.

1512 Main St, Sarasota, FL 34236

This is a great spot if you are with a furry friend. Every time I walk or drive by this place, there are always people sitting outside with their dogs. Pastry Art has been here for 30 years and is known for their baked good and coffee.
