Alright, first of all, aside from being at Augusta in person, is there anything better than watching The Masters from the restaurant or clubhouse of whichever course you just finished playing? If you’re a member at a club, then your clubhouse is likely the best place to watch. Palm Beach County has so many great golf clubs, communities, and courses, and they’ll all be packed this weekend. However, there are also some excellent options that aren’t directly attached to a club or course.
1000 North
This is the obvious choice. If you don’t know the history of 1000 North, here’s the most important detail. The partners/part owners include golf and sports legends like:
ERNIE ELS
JACK NICKLAUS
GARY PLAYER
RORY McILROY
DUSTIN JOHNSON
RICKIE FOWLER
LUKE DONALD
KEEGAN BRADLEY
JUSTIN THOMAS
CAMILO VILLEGAS
BROOKS KOEPKA
MICHAEL JORDAN
BRYAN GUMBEL
SERENA WILLIAMS
If you want to watch many of those people on TV while you’re sitting in their restaurant, then 1000 North is the way to go.
The Woods
While Tiger won’t be playing this year due to an Achilles injury, you can still watch the rest of the best from his restaurant in Jupiter. Head to The Woods in Harbourside. Happy hour runs from Monday to Saturday from 3 pm to 6 pm at the bar and high tops, and the menu is mouthwatering. The Woods also does a great brunch if you’d rather watch the end of the round at home or elsewhere.
The Clubhouse at North Palm Beach Country Club
North Palm Beach Country Club is unique in many ways. First off, most people in the area consider the golf course itself to be one of (if not THE) best publicly available courses in Palm Beach County. Second, they recently finished redoing the restaurant and clubhouse, and it has been getting excellent reviews. There is a grill room, and a dining room, each overlooking a different part of the course, and each with its own bar. And when the weather is nice, each area has great airflow through giant windows or doors, giving you a shaded alfresco feeling.
Sandhill Crane Golf Club
Sandhill Crane is the Palm Beach Gardens public course. Golfers give the course mid-to-high reviews, but that’s not why it’s on the list. It’s on the list because of the two distinct restaurants/bars. First, the main restaurant, The Dancing Crane, is solid. But the best place to watch is over at The Nest. The Nest is the name of the Par-3 course and secondary clubhouse. The facility has casual dining, two bars, and a two-story covered driving range, which includes the latest Trackman technology and ball tracking system in 18 of the hitting bays. So, you can practice, drink, and eat while you watch the tournament.
The House (at The Park West Palm)
Watching The Masters at The House (at The Park West Palm) is a great way to enjoy one of golf’s most prestigious tournaments. With its upscale yet laid-back atmosphere, massive LED screens, and premium food and beverage offerings, The House turns every swing and putt into a full-sensory experience. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just love a good atmosphere, you can kick back in style with curated cocktails, chef-driven bites, and plenty of room to gather with friends.
DriveShack
Another place to go if you want to take some swings yourself while you watch the action at Augusta, is Drive Shack over by the airport. It’s a 3-level driving range with a ton of TVs that you can watch while playing, and having lunch, dinner, a snack, a drink, or any combination.
World of Beer
Similarly, World of Beer on Southern Boulevard has an indoor TopGolf Swing Suite that you can play along at while watching the Masters on one of their many TVs.
Sports Bars
Here are some typical places (many with multiple locations in PBC and Martin) that are great for watching any sporting event, golf included:
Duffy’s
Miller’s Ale House
Uncle Mick’s
Old Florida Bar & Grill
JJ Muggs Stadium Grill
Hurricane Grill
Yard House
All Sports Grill
Brass Ring Pub
Kirby’s Sports Grille
Palm Beach County Loves Golf
The Masters is almost always the most highly anticipated tournament of the year. If you only watch one day of golf a year, it’s probably Sunday at The Masters. With so many golf fans living in Palm Beach County, it’s no wonder there are so many great places to watch with fellow fans. So, whether you’re at the clubhouse, watching with friends & family after playing a round of your own, or just looking to go somewhere with a great atmosphere, there’s no place better to watch the tournament (except for in person at Augusta, of course).
