The Maui Pumpkin Patch at Kula Country Farms: A Fall Experience on the Valley Isle

Experience Fall on Maui at the Pumpkin Patch

Just because the weather doesn’t change much during the fall months on Maui that doesn’t mean you can’t embrace the fall season when October comes around. In between picking out the perfect costume for Halloween, decorating your home, and loading up on candy for the trick-or-treaters, don’t overlook the fun of picking out the perfect pumpkins for carving.

Every year around the beginning of October, the Kula Country Farms Pumpkin Patch offers one of the best ways to get in the fall spirit on Maui and one of the best things to do in Upcountry Maui. At the ‘Patch’, as we call it, you can browse through hundreds of pumpkins and gourds while experiencing a more agricultural side of Maui at Kula Country Farms.

Out of all of the fun things to do on Maui, going to the Patch every October might be the annual event my wife looks forward to the most. Keep reading to see what all of the hype is about.

Kula Country Farms’ Maui Pumpkin Patch

A visit to Kula Country Farms in October is always a memorable family experience. From the farm, you can appreciate stunning, expansive views of the island as you stroll the grounds with your loved ones. The brilliant blue hues of the landscape stand in contrast to the hundreds of bright orange pumpkins and yellow sunflowers.

Kula Country Farms offers a wide range of pumpkins to suit all needs, including mini pumpkins, giant pumpkins and all sizes in between. In addition to traditional orange pumpkins that are perfect for carving the ultimate jack o’lantern, you can find yellow, green and even pink pumpkins.

While smooth, round pumpkins are always a popular choice for Halloween, the Maui Pumpkin Patch in Kula Country Farms also has flat and bumpy varieties. Carving kits are also available for your convenience.

Whether you select a giant pumpkin or a few smaller pumpkins, you can easily haul your selections in a wagon as you navigate through the farm. Because only a limited number of wagons are available, however, visitors are encouraged to bring their own.
