Hello Family,
It is Week Three of our ETW Study Summer in the Psalms: Psalm 119 – Life in the Word! We are celebrating God’s truth, honoring its role in our lives, and asking the Lord to take us deeper!
(Link to the FREE Devotional Guide at the end of this email)
Last week, in the devotional guide, we explored how God’s Word is hope in despair. Most of us are keenly aware of the floods that impacted Texas and other places. We look to the Lord for hope.
As we all watch, pray, and even weep with those who are hurting, let us hold close the powerful words of Psalm 119 during these difficult times.
In moments of suffering and uncertainty, Psalm 119 reminds us that God’s promises bring strength and hope:
My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to Your Word. Psalms 119:28
When we feel overwhelmed, we can trust that He is near:
You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your Word. Psalm 119:114.
We can trust God’s Word as a source of strength and renewal. It reminds us that it’s okay to feel overwhelmed with pain and grief, but we can turn to God’s promises to find the resilience we need to keep going. It offers hope even in the darkest moments. His Word can uplift and restore our weary souls.
My soul melts away for sorrow; strengthen me according to Your Word! Psalm 119:28
Let us encourage one another with faith, knowing that God is with us through every trial, heartbreak, and devastation.
Now is a time to pray fervently for those affected, asking for comfort, protection, and restoration. May their hearts find peace in God’s unfailing love and guidance.
Together, let’s lift up these communities in prayer and act with compassion, reflecting His light in dark times. He is our refuge, our strength, and our ever-present help (Psalm 46:1), and His Word will sustain us all.
Now more than ever, let us pour out our hearts in prayer for those who are hurting—asking God to wrap them in His comfort, shield them with His protection, and bring healing to their hearts. May they feel His unfailing love surround them like a warm embrace and find peace in His gentle guidance through every trial.
Let’s stand together, lifting these precious communities with compassionate prayers and kind actions, shining God’s light into the darkest moments. He is our refuge and strength, our ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1), and His Word will carry us through, giving hope and courage to us all.
We will continue with our ETW study this week, looking to Jesus, the hope of Psalm 119.
