Hello Family!
Welcome to Week 4 of the ETW study, Preparing Our Hearts This Christmas: 31 Days to Make Room for Jesus. This week we move from anticipation to the manger as we study Zechariah’s praise and prophecy and enter Luke chapter 2. We’ll walk with the shepherds to Bethlehem, listen for the angel’s message, and practice making room for the Dayspring in our daily lives.

As we study Zechariah, we’ll also notice his language of promise—the remembering of God’s covenant and the image of a “horn of salvation,” pointing us to the strength and deliverance found in Christ. Keep that picture in mind as you read: Jesus is the fulfillment of God’s promise, the strong One who brings light into the dark places.
Remember to try some of the practical suggestions in the devotional guide—small pauses to make room for Jesus. From making intentional space, acts of hospitality in your neighborhood, sharing a short testimony with a friend, or a simple journal entry, there are so many ways to make Christ the center of your Christmas celebrations.
Keep those Bibles opened, a journal and writing tools handy, and carve out quiet moments each day. And share what you are discovering from your time in the Word. We’d love to hear testimonies of God’s work in your life! Let’s make room together and watch for the Dayspring and the strength of God to show up in our homes, our communities, and in our hearts.
