Blessings are from God. Blessings can often be seen and felt but sometimes they cannot be seen or felt. But always they bring joy and peace to the person who receives it. Blessings are not associated with sorrow. Fruitfulness of the land with good yield is a blessing understood by many. Children are also a blessing. The work of one’s hands is said to be blessed when the results at the place of work are good, when there is more sales and greater profits in business.

A land flowing with milk and honey is a blessing. (refer Exodus 3:8) The promised land the Lord swore to give Abraham was described so. The descendants of Abraham, Issac & Jacob were led by Moses from Egypt into the promised land. God leads His children in their life to a blessed land.

d. Quick 2 main points to be blessed!

You may wish to have a brief version of the above. Well some one did ask Jesus and these two commands sum up all the commands. These are from Matthew 22:37-40

  1. “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment.
  2. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

Jesus said: “On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
