Unfortunately, wisdom can’t be learned from books or magazine articles, no matter how profound the writing. Instead, it arises from an experiential understanding of life. This is where AI is totally helpless. And as long as we are only relying on information we are only using half our intelligence. To use our whole brain we need to experience things and learn from those experiences.
So when AGO is making a call out for Artists Researchers it occurred to me that it is a misnomer. You are either being an Artist in a role that uses experiential knowledge and wisdom or a Researcher using analysis and information. Time to acknowledge Intuition as a form of knowledge if we are ever going to be a wise society.
