First piece of news is for my sketcher friends in Singapore. We are coming up with Urban Sketchers Singapore Vol 3 so if have joined our sketchwalks, do submit your sketches and contribute. Closing date for submission 28 June 2025.
LK Bing, an urban sketcher and instructor from Indonesia, has passed away on 30 April 2025 after being in coma for most of 2024 from an accident that happened in late 2023. It’s sad to read about this, to know someone from the USk community who will no longer be with us.
At the time of writing, it seems there are still sketchpasses available for purchase for the AsiaLink Sketchwalk 2025 Phuket (14 – 17 Aug 2025). If you want to go, grab the last remaining sketch passes fast.
I’ve just published another full-length course on Skillshare called Hanoi City Old Quarter Street Sketching so if you’re a Skillshare student don’t miss that. I’ll put that on my Gumroad page soon.
Alright, for the reviews. Wow. I only featured one book. There are just too many tech related stuff to review this month. I’ve at least two new artbooks to feature next month, 高畠聡アニメーション精密背景原図集 and The Art of Sam Yang.

Follow me on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Youtube. It’s as simple as that.
3. Check out my art courses on Skillshare and Gumroad
If you happen to be on Skillshare, check out my art courses there. Or just sign up for an account to get 14 days of unlimited access. Some of my courses are on Gumroad as well.
If you happen to be my patron on Patreon, all the courses are available there too.
4. Buy stuff through my affiliate links
I get to earn some commission but at no extra cost to you. The money I earned is used to fund webhosting for this blog.
