Hi there! Mary here today, sharing two ways to create beautiful butterfly cards for Mother’s Day (or any occasion) using Gelli Arts®️ Handmade Card Kit with your favorite embellishments. The Handmade Card Kit includes everything you’ll need to get started creating your own gel printed cards.

You can draw and cut out your own butterfly mask using one of the enclosed cards or your own cardstock or thick paper. Alternatively, you will find plenty of resources for a butterfly template online to print and cut.
Using a base color and a second color with Gelli Arts Wonderland stencil will create a dynamic pattern for your butterfly.
A contrasting background color (I chose a dark blue) with your butterfly mask will create a bold look.
Use your favorite supplies to embellish your card. I added some antennae and an outline using a paint pen. Add a finishing touch of glitter using matte medium for added special sparkle.
Once you get started gel printing cards, you’re going to want to make more! Cardstock comes in packs ready for you to cut to the size of your preference to create all types of cards. The plate included in Gelli Arts®️ Handmade Card Kit is 5” by 5”. I cut my papers just a bit smaller (4.75” by 4.75) for a clean look.
Included in the Card Kit are the Wonderland stencil, eyelash yarn and punchinella. Each will give your butterfly its own unique pattern. Experiment with different color combinations to create unique butterfly prints!
In addition to adding glitter, you can use Posca brand paint pens to add a splattered finishing touch. Just shake or tap against another pen to add this fun embellishment.
Simply glue your cut pieces to the folded card to create your colorful and dynamic card. Finish by adding a message on one of your butterflies!
