“Lighthouse” is an oil painting I created in the year 2000. At that time I was very concerned with learning to have faith in a higher power. How to have it and how to trust. Several of my paintings from that period were abstractions with a theme about being on a rocky sea but knowing that all is well. I have since learned that the way to do this is to focus more on the higher power and less on the rocky sea. My objectives in painting remain the same: create beauty that is compelling. To do this one must allow the higher power to operate through the artist. ~Sally
