2024 Wrap Up – Down the Rabbit Hole

2024 was a surprising reading year for me, not only for the amount of books I read, but also for getting to a few books that have been on my TBR for years. Books that I had on my Kindle since I got my first (2011) and books that have been on my TBR for longer finally got read. It was fun and I enjoyed it, and there are definitely things I want to carry through into 2025 but also things I want to change.

2024 Goals

It was a very mixed bag of completing my goals. I did very poorly with the blogging goals so I didn’t inclue them here. I was doing okay with the buying new books goal and then December it went a little off the rails (and I also didn’t include Women’s Prize books but then didn’t manage to read them all).

• Read 200 books
• Read 70,000 pages
• Read 50% by authors of colour
  • 28.94% in total. Those last couple of months were killer!
• Complete the Pop Sugar and Read Harder challenges.
• Read the Women’s Prize Longlist
  • The non-fiction one, yes, the fiction one, no.
• Read 10 of my NetGalley ARCs
• Read 7 of the 15 books I own (according to Storygraph) that are over 1000 pages.
• Cancel Amazon Prime
• Cancel Audible after the cheap trial is done.
• Buy maximum of one new book a month.
