Book Overview
Originally published in 1951, Prince Caspian follows the Pevensie siblings as they are magically transported back to Narnia, only to find that centuries have passed in their beloved kingdom. Narnia is now ruled by the oppressive King Miraz, and the rightful heir, Prince Caspian, is in hiding, seeking to restore Narnia to its former glory with the help of Old Narnians – talking beasts, dwarfs, and mythical creatures thought to be long gone.
This thrilling adventure is a tale of hope, courage, and faith as Caspian rallies his allies, the Pevensies join the fight, and Aslan’s presence is once again felt in the land. It’s a story that captures the essence of what makes The Chronicles of Narnia such an enduring classic.

- Caspian starts as a boy in hiding and grows into a leader. What qualities make him a strong ruler? Where does he struggle?
- Aslan does not immediately appear to everyone. What do you think Lewis is saying about faith and belief through Lucy’s journey?
- How does the depiction of war in Prince Caspian compare to other fantasy battles you’ve read?
- The book presents a clash between the old, magical Narnia and the new, more human-dominated rule of Miraz. What does this say about the passage of time and the importance of heritage?
