This book is one of the books in the Quick Reads series, which is designed to get more people into reading. I’m not sure who the target audience actually is, though.
It’s basically a harrowing story about a kid who’s taken into care because his mum’s an alcoholic, and he’s not too happy about that. I picked it up because my girlfriend read it and found it to be super moving, although it didn’t hit quite as close to home for me.
