I truly believe that the best Fathers Day present that you can give is one that is homemade. After my Dad passed away we found a box that belonged to him. Inside were cards and things that, over the years, us kids had made for him. Sadly, he won’t ever realise how much it meant to us all to know that he kept these ‘treasures’. This post will give you ideas of things you can create with children to give as gifts for Fathers Day.

Creating Handmade Treasures & Personalised Gifts
This blog post will give ideas for personalised gifts and gifts you can create for any occasion but would be perfect for Fathers Day. You can find Etsy’s Fathers Day gift ideas here which gives you a wealth of ideas also. Images in this post belong to respective Etsy sellers (except for marbling image). The suggestions in this post would work for lots of celebrations and not just for men!
Personalised Mug for Fathers Day
My Dad didn’t leave the house without drinking three cups of ridiculously strong tea! The strong tea is a trait my other half has too. Both of them have always loved having special mugs. A personalised mug is a great idea. This one has the date they were established as a Dad and I love that this one can have a handwritten note or poem with actual handwriting.

Personalised BBQ Tools
We’ve actually purchased this personalised BBQ tools set from 2 Day Gifts Co for the other half this year (shhh – he doesn’t know yet). He’s got very into his BBQ this year and seems to spend many hours watching people BBQ on YouTube!

Air Dry Clay Kits
Air dry clay means that children can create something truly unique as a Fathers Day gift. Pott’d have a variety of kits for various different projects. This is a medium that can be used with so many ages. For really little ones you could make gifts that contain hand or footprints in.

Sock Puppets
Well what do you get for the man who has everything – socks of course! However, you could turn the humble sock into a puppet to gift. I love Sock Creatures UK’s colourful kits for making adorable puppets from striped socks. How cute is the little dog below. There are lots of different characters you can create – see the selection here.

Obviously, the traditional sock can be perfect too! We found this pair funny and loved the idea of the personalised pair here.
Carving Kits
Carving kits look so much fun. This is a craft that could be made for Fathers Day or a kit to gift to enjoy together.

Marbling Kits
Marbling kits are so much fun. You could marble a card or make a decoration using a marbling kit. If you’re making cards then I’d recommend using card that is at least 200gsm.
