Author bio
Mhairead MacLeod’s writing is inspired by the lives of real historical figures – ordinary people whi have found themsleves in extraordinary circumstances – but also by her personal experience. Like the main character in her novel, she made the journey from Scotland to Australia when young, and built a career in the tropics. Before becoming a novelist, Mhairead was a lawyer and lecturer. “A Hospital in the Clouds” has received national and international screenwriting awards.
