January Wrap Up – Down the Rabbit Hole

January went really quickly for me and I had a good reading month! I was dog-sitting for my parents for the last two weeks and cuddling up with a dog definitely helps with reading. One thing I am struggling with is WordPress new notes layout and it’s definitely affecting how often I go onto this site!

Favourite Book of the Month

This was easy enough pick for this month, because while I did read a lot of books that I had fun with, there was one book which I was just smiling as I listened to the audiobook for it. I am really glad I have finished The Lord of the Rings trilogy, it was a really fun series to listen to.

Least Favourite Book of the Month

This was also an easy choice for me. One book (thankfully a library book) where I should have just put it down but I was curious about the ending. But unfortunately it was as disappointing as had been promised in the first half. Dull, aggravating and either hated or was completely apathetic to most of the characters.

Reading Updates

I got a few books of my 2025 TBR and read a lot of books I owned, which are two big goals I want to focus on this year. No ARCs read, not quite up to date on reviews but I’m doing well on my reading goals!

My TBR is +7 at the end of the month so that means I would have to read seven books I own without adding anything before I break even. Wish me luck!
