MY REVIEW

Wow! What a dream of a marvellous debut fantasy children’s fiction, Jonny and the Mystery Of the Sun Disc. I do declare with my hand on my heart this is amazing fantasy. It is a hundred percent, 288, page turner, that is not just for 9-12 years old, but adults can read this too. The best thing for me was the strong imagination that author Melaina Giofre, cleverly put so much excitement, building up page by page, that made me keep turning the pages. I could hear the voice of Jonny, with other characters, blending into the storyline. I absolutely loved every word, sentence, paragraph, and chapter. Every reader will feel quite sorry for Jonny, who leads a sad life of being bullied at school. The only way Jonny can escape the torment is to dream. He will have lucid dreams and vivid dreams. Through Jonny’s dreams, that takes place in a library, there will magic, in fact there will lots of magic throughout, the chapters. Dreaming in the library, means one thing, that the library is closed for all dreamers safety. With Jonny dreaming, I became transfixed to the story. Jonny has a strange meeting with Master Morpheus who tells Jonny, he is a powerful dreamer who is the only person who can find the Sun Disc, and that he is the boy destined to prevent the catastrophe of the Blood Moon. So who is Master Morpheus? Buy this book and find out more about Master Morpheus. Jonny will have to stay in a lucid nightmare, and will obtain the Dare if U Scare book. For me now there was no stopping me from reading well into the night, to read how will Jonny find the Sun Disc. By following, Jonny’s dream world he will see ghost, witches and magical creatures. I hope you enjoy Jonny and the Mystery of the Sun Disc, as much as what I have. I am following Melaina closely as I literally cannot wait until Melaina Giofre has her next book published.

About author Melaina Giofre

Melaina Giofre originally from Italy, relocated to London in 2008. There she completed a master’s degree in communication and obtained a diploma in freelance journalism, contributing to various online publications. She currently lectures at a fashion college in London, though her true passion is writing imaginative stories. Jonny and the Mystery of the Sun Disc is her debut children’s novel. Growing up, Melania was immersed in Greek myths, fantasy books, and Disney films. The idea of the Sun Disc comes from an old Inca legend she heard about during Melaina’s 2015 trip to Peru. The legend says that around 30,000 BC , the Disc was placed on a solid stone altar in the greatest temple of the Divine Light of the Motherland of MU in Peru. It served serval purposes:as an object of adoration and as a symbolic representation of the Cosmic Sun and the Creator. Some people even believe it wasn’t just a legend and that the Disc had magical powers. She heard there’s a replica still kept at the Temple the Sun in Cuzco. Melaina hasn’t really dug too much into it, but she felt like it was the perfect inspiration for a story. https://melaniagiofre.com/
