I was surprised to find out that Yvette Fielding actually lives in a haunted house. This is the story of some of the haunted properties that Yvette Fielding and her small team have visited. Yvette tells everything, in a simple layout for the young YA readers, to be able to read and follow. First there is an illustration by Hannah Shaw, of the haunted location, which ghosts was present, and the paranormal activity. Then Yvette, gives us the history about that particular property, followed by the hauntings what people experienced, then the investigation where Yvette and her team investigate using special equipment to find the ghost or ghosts. One of the piece of equipment in helping the crew communicate with the dead, is something that we all know about is the Ouija board. After all the investigations, is completed, there is a very interesting page comes next. Did You Know? This will tell you certain things that you might not of have known. I was surprised to learn that one particular spooky tale of a ghost in the early 1800’s in the Hammersmith, London, had the police baffled. My favourite location that Yvette and her team went to was The Witch’s Cottage, Lancashire. I Loved reading the section Did You Know? Giving information about many, many, years ago, what happened to several women that were subjected to witchcraft. This book isn’t just for 10-12-year-olds, but, absolutely anyone who loves reading about true ghost stories will be excited about all the findings, and the history behind the haunted buildings , by Yvette Fielding.
