MY REVIEW
The Inheritance lead me to hold my breath while reading. Oh yes this is the best Indian family story full of drama that I have ever read in my life. I loved it all, with a brilliant cast of characters alternating, leading the chapters. The story setting stretched between Delhi, London and Scotland. Let’s meet the Agarwals family, all originally from Delhi. In a remote Scottish island, there’s going to be family reunion, the trip is going to be a celebration of their Papa’s retirement and their Mama and Papa’s wedding anniversary. Mega rich, Raj their father, has over a staggering three hundred million pounds in the family trust, which is to be split equally. Can any thing go wrong? In my view Zoe loves herself, with her instagram account, Accidental Adult, with half-a-million followers. Why is she not a fan of family gatherings? Unfortunately she’s been keeping a secret from her husband Aseem. Myra is the eldest daughter and golden child, who lives in a massive jaw-dropping house that’s like a cross between an English manor house and a Scottish castle, but is her lifestyle the bees-knees? Aisha, the fun loving youngest daughter, could be heading for an arranged marriage. This is an Indian family where all of them has many secrets which are about to send shockwaves to the readers brains, and I didn’t see this one coming, one ended up getting murdered. Further more I was really surprised to find out who got killed, and who committed this awful crime, I couldn’t cope with more secrets. Highly recommend The Inheritance as this thriller makes the very best reading material.
