MY REVIEW
I loved the cover of this book, the brown building with iron gates that drew me to this book. This stone cold, building looks like a cross between a prison and an hospital, a lunatic asylum here is where the unbearable childbirth takes place. These words can haunt you once you read them……My eyes slide to what I’ve already seen, yet not fully absorbed. Noise-cancelling earphones, a padded head restraint and blindfold, harness and straps for wrists, ankles and knees. I swallow hard. Though it looks more like a ward in a lunatic asylum, this room is a secret venue for childbirth. I gape at the leather shackles again. Why the hell would any woman agree to these?
