I thought I would give a wee update on what I’ve been reading and listening to this week, and some of the books I was lucky enough to receive!

The Ministry of Unladylike Activity by Robin Stevens
I was lucky enough to receive a copy of this novel from Puffin the publisher. I love the Murder Most Unladylike series by Robin Stevens so I knew I would like this new series! Set in London in WWII the characters are fun and the murder mysteries are cleverly plotted.

Pieces of Us by Stewart Foster
This is a YA contemporary novel, featuring male friendship, gay relationships and being yourself. I loved this novel a lot, it was a delight to read, although there were some heartbreaking parts. Published 27th February by Simon & Schuster

Penance by Eliza Clark
I was intrigued by this novel when it was released, a fiction novel written in the style of a non-fiction true crime novel about a teenage girl murdered by her teenage schoolmates. It seemed to want to say a lot about true crime and sort of fell short a bit for me, but an interesting idea for a novel.

Thank you so much for reading this update! Other than reading I have been watching a lot of sports, 6 Nations Rugby is on at the moment and there’s always football. I also finished watching Slow Horses on AppleTV which was amazing and would highly recommend it if you have AppleTV or know someone who does!
