
The Chicago concert calendar is heating up this June! From a pair of superstars who won the big game with their killer halftime show to a living legend and musical genius sharing the same stage, here’s a list of some of the amazing artists bringing their talents to the Windy City this month.
SZA and Kendrick Lamar – Soldier Field June 6
If there is one show to see this month it is certainly Kendrick Lamar and SZA‘s Grand National Tour stop at Soldier Field. The artists – who recently made headlines with a spectacular Super Bowl appearance – have been changing up the traditional opener/headliner format this tour by alternating stage time, and even sharing the spotlight for duets, throughout each night. Mark your calendars for Friday, June 6 to catch the show of the almost-summer.
Grace Jones and Janelle Monáe – Ravinia June 7
This is a once in a lifetime lineup. On Saturday, June 7, Grace Jones and Janelle Monáe are performing at Ravinia up in Highland Park. As if this night couldn’t get any better, Metro/smartbar is bringing QUEEN! To the Carousel for even more fun.
Betty Who – The Vic June 13

Betty Who is back – after making her Broadway debut in Hadestown and hosting Amazon’s The One That Got Away – and she is bringing the Out of the Darkness Tour to The Vic Theatre on June 13. Along with anthemic hits like “Somebody Loves You” and “Blow Out My Candle,” the pop singer-songwriter is known for hosting an irresistible dance party every time she hits the stage.
Sleigh Bells – Metro June 12
With the track “Wanna Start A Band?,” Sleigh Bells, comprised of Derek Miller and singer Alexis Krauss, returned with their first new music in three years. This duo is explosive on stage and their June 12 set at Metro is going to be nothing short of legendary.
Aimee Mann – The Riv June 27

One of the best songwriters of her generation, Aimee Mann will be returning to Chicago to perform at The Riviera Theatre on June 27. Her frequent collaborator Jonathan Coulton will be serving as support and the show is part of a tour celebrating the 22 1/2 anniversary of Lost in Space.

Elsewhere in June, fka Twigs will be stopping by The Salt Shed for a pair of rescheduled shows on June 24 & 25 and Sandra Bernhard – fresh off a scene-stealing performance in Severance – is bringing the Shapes & Forms Tour to Park West on June 14. Jessie Reyes will be at The Salt Shed on June 15 and Las Locas Comedy Presents: Chingona Comedy Hour is taking place at The Laugh Factory on June 5. Finally, Chicago Pride Fest will take over Northalsted on June 21-22 with performances by Jesse McCartney, Deborah Cox, The Aces, Andrew Sa, and many, many more.
