How to Complete the Unwritten Realms: Maleficent’s Demise Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Starting the Quest
The Unwritten Realms: Maleficent’s Demise quest begins automatically by completing the Unwritten Realms: The Spinning Wheel quest. After bringing Maleficent her second Anchor Moment, there is one more to find.
Hit the wheel with the Royal Net to summon the final portal
Go back to the review floor and make your way through the final door. Equip the Royal Net tool and swing it to rotate the wheel. Unfortunately, it will not spawn the portal. Speak to the Magic Quill and go through the dialogues.
Find a way to retrieve the portal
Go to the edge of the floor and look at the sand tornado; you will see fishing ripples in it. Equip the Fishing Rod and cast the line into the ripples. Finish the mini-game to fish out the portal. Now, interact with the portal to make your way to the Processing Room.
Solve the puzzles to find Maleficent’s Third Anchor Moment
Go along the path to reach the puzzle room with a chessboard, a knight, and a few weapon stands blocking the way. You need to interact with the stands to clear in front of the knight, and then push the knight through the next door. You have to do this a total of three times to finish the puzzle. It is relatively easier than the last two puzzles that you have solved for the Anchor Moments.
After pushing the knight through the door, go up the staircase and pick up Maleficent’s Third Anchor Moment. Once done, go back to the portal and make your way back to the Realm.
Talk to Quill and return to Maleficent
After reaching the Unwritten Realms, speak with the Quill blocking your way. Go through the dialogues and then make your way back to Maleficent. Speak with Maleficent and give her the final Anchor Moment. A brief cutscene will play, and she will get her powers back.
Talk to the Lorekeeper and Welcome Maleficent
After speaking with Maleficent, go back to the entrance of the Unwritten Realms and interact with it to return to the Vale. Now, speak to the Lorekeeper and go through the dialogues. It will trigger the cutscene of Maleficent coming back to the Vale. Take a picture with Maleficent to welcome her back to the Vale. It will unlock Maleficent as a villager for you.
Talk to Maleficent
After welcoming Maleficent, speak with her and go through the dialogues. It will conclude the Unwritten Realms: Maleficent’s Demise quest.
