Call of Duty: Warzone just released yet another new season, which means a brand new version of the Verdansk map full of secrets and other goodies to uncover during your match. In this guide, we will show you how to open the safe room at the Overlook tower, which can potentially reward you with some juicy items to help you earn that chicken dinner.
Warzone Verdansk – How to Open the SECRET Overlook Tower Safe Room Easter Egg | FREE Specialist Pack
First of all, you should obviously head over to the Overlook first. Once you are in there, you must search for three pool balls. Supposedly, you can complete this with only two of them on hand, but try to get all three anyway just to be sure.
You will also need to find a mysterious key item to access the safe room. This can be found in varying spots, just like the pool balls.
All of these items spawn in random locations around the building, but some of the confirmed spawn locations are the following:
- Confirmed location #1 – Just beside the stairs, on the floor near some maroon or brown leather armchairs.
- Confirmed location #2 – The southeast corner of the roof area. Check the southeasternmost spot, just beside an opening leading to the outside area.
- Confirmed location #3 – Beside one of the plants in the lobby area at the middle floor. Check in or beside the planters, as the items can spawn on the soil itself.
- Confirmed location #4 – At the café in the first floor. This one seems to be specifically a pool ball spawn, and you can find it on the piece of cardboard just behind the counter, right beside the door to the kitchen.
- Confirmed location #5 – Inside the kitchen of the café from the previous entry, you can also potentially find a mysterious key on the table you see as soon as you enter through the door.
- Confirmed location #6 – At the top floor, you can also find either of the two required items on the planters around the pyramid. In fact, you should probably check the plants in every floor, since they seem to be a common spot for both the key and the balls.
- Confirmed location #7 – At the southwestern corner of the roof area. This is found behind a piece of plywood leaning on the wall. A pool ball can spawn here, just beside some cardboard boxes on the shelf.

Those are just some of the locations that we know about, so make sure to look around and find at least two of them. With trial and error, you can kind of ignore the third and final ball.
It should also be noted that the balls can come in varying numbers, which will be different with every match you play. Because of this, we cannot help you with an exact answer to the next part.
Once you have at least two pool balls and the mysterious key, head to the penthouse and check the ball rack on the wall just beside the pool table. Interact with this rack to insert all of the balls that you have acquired.
You will notice that they will be propped up in a particular order, with some of the balls facing towards you. These numbers actually form the code for the secret safe room.
What you are looking for is a code with six digits, and you can try to guess the final number if you only managed to find two pool balls. Take note of the number from top to bottom, reading each line from left to right.
In the example image below, you can see that the balls form the number “5 8 6 2 7 _”. Since there is one missing ball, the player must then guess the final one or try to find the third digit in the building, which is not recommended at this point.

With the code written down, or at least most of it, head one floor down and look for the locked door with a keypad beside it. Here, you can enter the code for the door based on what the pool rack showed you in this particular match.
There is no limit to how many times you can attempt to open the door, so if you are only missing one digit, you are completely free to keep trying until you get it. The worst possible scenario is that you try to open it a mere ten times, which is a complete non issue.
If you get the code right, the keypad numbers should turn blue, and the door will swing open. Congratulations, you are now free to explore the safe room and loot all of the containers inside!

There are a bunch of high value loot crates that you can open here, which include some extremely valuable weapons, killstreaks, support items, and even perks. If you check the table in the middle of the room, you will even find a few stacks of cash that you can claim, as well as other field upgrade items that you might find useful.
With this room now open, assuming you were the first to do so in the match, you will be unstoppable! You and your team should now be completely loaded, and it only takes a little bit of searching in a single building.
It should be noted that the specialist pack is not guaranteed. There are players who have claimed that they never got one here, so you will still need a bit of luck to find it!
And that is pretty much all you need to know in order to open this secret area in the newest version of the Verdansk map that was released for this season. It contains some of the best items, though you will be at the mercy of RNG, so there is a chance that you get a bunch of duds as well.
