The Midnight expansion for World of Warcraft (WoW) adds Housing and it’s already available in early access, but you’ll want to get levels fast and cheap to make good use of it.
As you level up Housing, your options for house customization expand. You’re allowed to place down more Decor and rooms, for one. You’ll also unlock access to new features and room types. Simply put, it’s a must!

How to Gain Housing Levels Fast And Cheap | WoW: Midnight – Early Access
First things first, the basics! You get House XP by completing Endeavors, Endeavor tasks, and by collecting Decor of Uncommon or higher rarity for the first time.
However, Endeavors are not yet available during Early Access! So, that means, currently your only bet to gain House XP is simply by collecting as many different types of Decor as possible.
With that said, you might also notice that you’ll automatically get some House XP as soon as you log in if you’ve been playing WoW for a while. That is because you get Decor from certain Achievements, including the ones from older content.
To help track this, we highly recommend using the Home Bound addon. It’ll track all of your housing rewards from Achievements, allowing you to easily and quickly check what you’re still missing.
At the same time, certain Dungeons and Raids will also give guaranteed Decor drops upon completion. So, don’t ignore those.
In short, the easiest and cheapest way to get some House XP is to just play the game naturally and accrue Achievements. Just use the add-on to track what you need and you’re golden!
Other Methods
Aside from Achievements, your second-best way to get Decor right now is to just purchase it from NPC vendors.
For this, we’d recommend using the WoW Housing Hub website. It allows you to easily track where to find any Decor in the game! For the time being, we recommend using the following filters as well:
- Early Access Items
- Quality: Uncommon, Rare, Epic
- Sources: Vendor
What’s more, you can also log in on the website using your Battle.Net account. This will make the searches and filters match what you have access to, since some vendors require you to complete specific Achievements to buy their Decor.
Additionally, the Home Bound addon we mentioned before also has a feature to track vendors. Using both tools in conjunction should make it easy to find what you need.
Now, aside from that, your final option would be to just buy Decor from other players via the Auction House. This is definitely not cheap, though, but it’s way easier than crafting things yourself.
That said, we only recommend this if you’ve got the currency to spare and already exhausted the Achievements and NPC vendors. Treat it as a last resort, not something to focus on.
