Are You Ready? – adaughtersgiftoflove

The quiet eluded me for many years. I was trapped in the trying to  ” catch up mentality “, thinking that I wasn’t equipped to handle the responsibility of caring for others as deeply as God did. But I had to learn to be still and let Him take care of me. I was never meant to carry such as burden as the cross and I know now that I am only responsible for sharing His Word and love. It is the choice of others to receive, or not.

In the silence, I know I am not the Savior, I am just as the child needing my Father as well. Jesus made us a way to the Father, John 14. And He, no doubt has it ready, but are we? Are we really ready for His coming or we deluding ourselves into thinking we are? It is time to look inward with a retrospect like never before as the world both implodes and explodes with corruption and chaos. Are our minds focused on the truth that is His love? Or what some perceive it to be?

We have to be still, to breathe, to prepare. And we must be prepared in order to escape the turmoil with the tenacity that I believe He will show when He comes to catch believers away. We want to prepare our hearts and families and protect what is ours but we can only speak His truth in love. We all have others who we would love to see make changes, come to Christ.

But we are neither their protection nor peace He is and He will afford them every opportunity to the last. He looks at hearts, He knows us better than we know ourselves. I have had to let go of a lot. I find myself still hoping to effect that change, but it is myself that I must reflect on. I know that my beautiful words will fall on deaf ears because His did, so it is my heart that needs to be still ready and prepared for His glorious appearing.

Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready. Revelation 19:7

Are you ready? I am. For the past few years I have been overcoming adverse situations, health, loss, and trying to survive in some ways. I don’t want to merely exist and it took a lot to be able to recover my health and to write again. It was Him all along.

He is preparing me and making me ready because I cannot do it alone,  I rely on His grace and mercy, I so desire His rest. I have new living room furniture, and hope to have my home more comfortable. Jesus should feel right at home, I can picture Him reclining with my mother.

We all need His rest, rest for the soul, the mind, will and emotions that are stirred so in these days, so we will be ready He comes. Because, He is coming.

We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet Him ahead of those who have died. For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. So encourage each other with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 New Living

Are you ready? Still, at peace and in His rest? Are you remaining in Him? I want us prepared to be forever with the Lord.
