Coffee & Chat with Rev Bruce has kicked off the summer with a bang. We have launched a 90-day financial fitness challenge spanning from June 7th through September 6th. This challenge covers everything from tracking spending and building a budget to short term fixes for your credit score and creating a money map.

We are preparing for a 30-day check-in with an intermediate checklist of items that could be covered within the first 30 days of the challenge. By the time we get to September, our finances should be in shape and our financial future beginning to solidify through some vital money moves on our part.

Psalm 23 is a highly popular psalm. In fact, I’d wager that it is the most widely known psalm of them all. However, verse 4 of that psalm holds a special meaning. Every time that I read it, I sense a shift in the psalm itself.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Psalm 23:4 (NASB)

As we study the lessons learned from the low points in our lives, the journey through the valley should give us comfort as well as confirmation. The walk through the valley should help sure up our faith and shut down any fears. We’re just passing through the valley. We’ve got somewhere else to be soon enough.
