Last year, at this moment, I gifted myself the beautiful experience of freedom. But what does freedom truly mean? Why are the words “liberty” and “freedom” often used as if they are the same?
To me, freedom is the exhilarating ability to express my thoughts and share my opinions openly. It’s the liberating feeling of choosing my own path, where I can follow my passions instead of being confined to the “must-dos” of life. F
There are times when responsibilities and obligations weave themselves into the fabric of our daily lives, creating a sense of duty that can feel burdensome. Freedom, in this context, can also signify a release from those responsibilities—an escape from the weight of adult life. Who genuinely enjoys being a responsible adult all the time? Yet, a life devoid of responsibilities would also be a life without meaning or direction.
I am profoundly grateful for the freedom I cherish—the freedom to voice my thoughts without hesitation, the freedom to prepare nourishing meals for myself, and the freedom to embrace my true self without fear or doubt. This journey of self-discovery is a precious gift, and I hold it close to my heart.
However, I would still like your idea and understand the difference between Liberty and Freedom (beside that they both have different word origin :-D)
