Lionel Messi has been offered the most lucrative contract in the history of professional sports by Al Hilal.

During the winter season, Cristiano Ronaldo was signed to an
expensive contract by Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr. Reports suggest that
another Saudi club, Al Nassr’s top rival, offered Lionel Messi an exorbitant
amount of money, which may lead to a potential face-off between the two clubs
in the Saudi league.

Lionel Messi’s contract with PSG ends this season, and he
has several options to choose from. Al Hilal, a Saudi Arabian club, has offered
Messi an astounding contract worth over €400 million ($438 million/£350
million) per year, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. However,
Messi’s priority is to continue playing in a top European league where he can
compete for more Champions League titles.

The ESPN journalist Mark Ogden has
reported that Messi is giving serious consideration to the Al Hilal offer,
which seems to be a 50/50 chance at this point. This could be due to his
meeting with the Saudi club in March. Recent talks about an extension with PSG
have been unsuccessful, making his decision more critical.
