I recently received two of the latest ciders from Schilling Cider, fruit-forward products from the company’s Legends of Cider line: Grapefruit and Chill, a seasonal specialty, and Strawbeary Rhube Awakening, newly added to the year-round lineup.
Grapefruit and Chill is 6.5% ABV, crafted with grapefruit which makes me think of radler, great for hot weather.
Grapefruit & Chill is back! Well…for the season at least. Your ticket to ultimate relaxation, this 6.5% ABV cider is packed with juicy grapefruit and a splash of tangy lime.
Strawbeary Rhube Awakening is a tad lighter at 5.2% ABV and the name is a study in word contortion for sure (the “bear” part threw me off).
Sun-kissed for extra strawberry juiciness with balanced tartness only a grandparents’ cheek-kiss and judgement can bring…or mixing rhubarb with strawberry. At 5.2% ABV this semi-sweet cider is sure to be a rhube awakening!
Since I’d consider it to be strawberry and rhubarb season right now, this one should be a hit.
