If you’ve never had it before, you simply must try this amazingly bacon-y, tomatoey, cheesy, creamy Boat Dip Recipe now.

The first time I had boat dip, I was indeed on a boat, with the twins, Chloe and Zoe, and their mom and dad, who actually have a yacht. I had never been on a boat this big in my life, so I wanted to bring appropriate snacks.
And then I discovered this luscious boat dip recipe and decided it sounded just perfect for a day of yachting with the little ones in my big-brimmed sun hat, all around the Gulf of Mexico during our trip to Florida.
It was a lovely trip, and this dip was just the perfect one to share with friends, especially with all kinds of dippers. Virtually anything tastes great in this amazing dip, from rippled potato chips to veggie dippers, and meats—plus it makes a great sandwich spread and burger topper, too!

Why you and your family will adore boat dip
When you want a unique appetizer for your next get-together, surprise your guests (or family) with a heaping bowl of this boat dip. Believe me, everyone can get behind some boat dip, even the wee-est of ones, because there’s simply nothing not to like here (except maybe the cilantro). Just serve this herb on the side so the adults can indulge at will, sprinkling it all over their dip before they dunk something tasty into it.
Boat dip has just about every yummy ingredient you’d want to put on just about anything: It’s got bacon (and every single body loves bacon), sour cream, which just about everybody loves too, cheddar cheese, and tomato pieces. You can just picture that luscious creamy dip with flecks of tomato and bacon just dotted all around it right on top of a tortilla chip, a potato chip, a cauliflower wing, a Buffalo Cauliflower Wing, or even dolloped onto some Oven-Baked BBQ Chicken right now.

How do I store leftovers?
Boat dip is best for eating up the day you make it, as it contains a whopping dose of sour cream. But you can refrigerate leftover dip, sealed tightly with plastic wrap or in an airtight container, for up to 4 days. If serving this outdoors, make sure to have the bowl sit on an iced server, as it won’t last long in the sun. And do not let this dip sit outside of the refrigerator for longer than 2 hours.

Serving suggestions
I love serving this delicious boat dip with an array of luscious dippers. For example, these Buffalo Wings or these amazing Easy Cauliflower Wings. Both taste amazing with the spicy flavors playing off that creamy sour cream, acidic tomato, and succulent bacon. You can also try these crunchy, munchy Crispy Air Fryer Onion Rings or these easy Oven Fries. Both taste just yum-yum-yummy dipped in this amazing dip.
However, the most amazing things to drizzle this luscious dip over are one of my favorite finger foods from aboutamom.com, these stuffed zucchini boats, both the Italian Version and the Mexican Version—they make veggies taste more delicious for being veggies, and that’s saying something! If you want to make a sandwich that tastes sublime with this dip on top, serve one of these Ultimate Grilled Cheese Sandwiches with it as a sauce.
