Throughout the first half of the year, Geese have played a handful of shows where they’ve live-tested a few explosive new songs — one literally talks about a bomb in their car. That includes “Taxes,” the lead single of the NYC quartet’s third studio album, Getting Killed, which is out Sept. 26 via Partisan Records.
Following 2023’s 3D Country, the record was made with producer Kenny Beats (Provoker, Denzel Curry) in his LA studio and is best described as a “chaotic comedy of epic proportions.” Their latest is a soaring rock track that features Cameron Winter’s wailing yowl, arriving alongside a video where a camera edges to the front of a packed-out Geese show. By the end, the videographer captures a hallucinatory rush of moshing, screaming, and violence that feels akin to an exorcism.

Geese will go on a headlining tour in support of the album throughout October and November, bringing along Racing Mount Pleasant and Dove Ellis on select dates. Their frontman Winter also recently sold out a handful of solo shows in support of last year’s Heavy Metal.
