We’re officially in the final stretch of Pete v. Cooper. With trial scheduled for November 17, both sides have submitted their final witness lists, exhibits, jury instructions, and a new round of filings — including a move from Megan Thee Stallion’s team pushing back on any attempt to limit her claims based on timing.
Megan’s side is sticking with key witnesses: herself, Milagro, Dr. Lenore Walker (expert witness), Amiel Holland-Briggs, Daniel Kinney, and several others — including Tory Lanez and Sonstar Peterson, who are expected to appear by deposition. Milagro is expected to testify on her own behalf.
The joint name list includes nearly everyone who’s come up in the online conversation: Tory Lanez, Kelsey Harris, DJ Akademiks, Adin Ross, Jason Lee, Mob Radio, Roc Nation, even Kylie Jenner and Joe Budden. Platforms like Stationhead and The Shade Room are also named.
For evidence, Megan’s team plans to bring dozens of livestream clips, social media posts, videos, and screenshots they say show a pattern of defamation, cyberstalking, and emotional harm. The joint exhibit list has over 180 items.
The proposed verdict form starts with this question: Did Milagro accuse Megan of perjury? Then it moves on to whether she promoted an altered sexual image of Megan, followed by counts for emotional distress, cyberstalking, and invasion of privacy.
One of the latest filings came from Megan’s legal team — not Milagro’s — and focuses on the “single publication rule.” In it, Megan’s lawyers argue that Milagro shouldn’t be allowed to use the statute of limitations to block older posts from being considered. They say Milagro’s posts were republished, re-engaged with, and in some cases reshared, making them fair game under Florida law. The filing anticipates a defense move to cut off anything posted before November 13, 2023, and asks the judge to rule those arguments out.
Trial remains set for November 17 in Miami federal court. A gag order is still in place.
