Manchester United prepare bid for PSG forward Randal Kolo Muani – FootballAction.CO.UK

Manchester United are reportedly lining up a move to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani this summer, as the Frenchman looks set to leave the Ligue 1 giants after just one full season in Paris.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the Red Devils are preparing an offer for the 26-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Juventus. Despite a rocky start at PSG, Kolo Muani reignited his form in Italy, scoring eight goals and providing two assists, including standout performances at the Club World Cup where he netted twice and notched an assist in just three appearances.

PSG Ready to Cash In

Kolo Muani joined PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023 for a fee that made him the Bundesliga club’s most expensive ever sale. But things never truly clicked at the Parc des Princes, and now the French champions are willing to cut their losses. Reports suggest PSG would accept a £39 million transfer fee, or even a loan with an obligation to buy—a structure that could appeal to United amid FFP restrictions.

Man Utd Eyeing Attacking Reinforcements

United have long admired Kolo Muani and even attempted to sign him before he chose PSG. Instead, the club went for Rasmus Højlund, whose debut season at Old Trafford has been mixed. With Ruben Amorim keen to bolster his frontline, Kolo Muani is seen as a strong upgrade to lead the line.

Newcastle Also in the Frame

Manchester United aren’t alone in the race. Newcastle United are also monitoring the situation, especially with uncertainty surrounding Alexander Isak amid Liverpool’s interest. Having missed out on João Pedro and Hugo Ekitike, the Magpies are now turning their attention to Kolo Muani as a potential marquee signing.

As the summer window heats up, the race for Kolo Muani is shaping up to be one of the more intriguing transfer battles—and Manchester United appear ready to make the first move.
