Lanson Place Mall of Asia Lounge Perks: Making Your Hotel Stay Feel Like a Treat

One of the newest hotels in the metro, Lanson Place Mall of Asia offers a modern retreat for casual and business travelers alike. For people like me who love staycations, it is high on the list of must-visit hotels as it offers everything from contemporary amenities—including a highly rated restaurant and a rooftop pool area that overlooks Manila Bay—to easy access to commercial restaurants and shops within the Mall of Asia complex.

But if you’re thinking that, oh, this is just another regular hotel stay, then that’s where you are mistaken. Lanson Place Mall of Asia also offers rooms and packages with exclusive lounge access, which elevates your stay from basic to something memorable.

Our Stay at Lanson Place Suite

We stayed overnight at Lanson Place Mall of Asia to experience their exclusive lounge perks. This hotel offers both hotel rooms and serviced apartments, and we were booked in a 1-Bedroom Suite complete with floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook Manila Bay.

The room features a bedroom with a king-sized bed and TV, a bathroom stocked with imported toiletries, a living area with TV, a balcony, and—since the suite caters to long-term guests—a kitchenette complete with cookware, dinnerware, refrigerator, and even a washing machine with dryer. There is also a coffee machine with three complimentary coffee pods.

We were surprised with how thoughtful the hotel chose the amenities for this room. No complaints whatsoever. The bay view was nice, even though it is marred by the on-going reclamation area. I have to warn you about the bed—it is so comfy that you will need to set an alarm; otherwise you might accidentally sleep in.

The One-Bedroom Suite also comes with lounge access. Lanson Lounge is located in the 11th floor, along with other hotel facilities such as the kid’s play corner, fitness center, and rooftop pools.

Open from 6 AM to 10 PM, the lounge area is intimate and quiet, perfect for relaxing, light dining and refreshments, and even networking. As it is more intimate compared to the hotel’s main restaurant (Cyan Modern Kitchen) or BLK 12 Café and Bar, it’s perfect for those who prefer more exclusivity.

The complimentary food and beverage offerings here include: afternoon snacks and refreshments, pre-dinner cocktails, and continental breakfast.

After we checked in, we stayed at the lounge for the afternoon snacks and refreshments. The food includes salted grissini and red-velvet cookies, and there was a list of coffee and cocktails available.

The pre-dinner cocktails menu was longer. There were grilled chicken hummus salad, canapés, chicken bun and fried spring rolls, maki sushi, and soup. All of the food we tried was delicious—and to be honest, it is enough for dinner. We also had daiquiri and cuba libre to cap the meal. This alone makes the lounge access worth availing.

Aside from dining, the lounge also offers other amenities including a back and foot massager, PlayStation 5, and a Virtual Reality headset. We tried the back massager and it was relaxing. If only we had more time to stay there!

Lanson Lounge also offers a plated continental breakfast, ideal for those who want a quieter place to start their day. As for us, we had the usual breakfast buffet at Cyan Modern Kitchen, located at the 3rd floor.

I had been at the Cyan Modern Kitchen previously for their lunch buffet. Their breakfast buffet is just as good. There is good variety, from fresh salads, breads, and cereals to heavier options like rice and various viands. There is also an egg station for omelets.

I appreciate that they feature Filipino food such as tocino, beef pares, fried fish, and more. Other Manila hotels that cater to international markets have limited options, so getting to eat Filipino favorites is refreshing.

I liked everything that we tried, including bacon (regularly cooked or crispy), tocino, beef sausage, Korean-style steamed egg, omelette, chickpea curry, and taho. Their hot chocolate was also delicious.

Other Hotel Amenities and Services

Lanson Place Mall of Asia has other amenities including multiple dining options, a fitness center, and indoor kids’ corner, and a rooftop pool area with an infinity pool and a kiddie pool.

We swam at the rooftop pool during sunset—the sky view was wonderful, and the water was lukewarm. I read that the Mall of Asia weekend fireworks are visible here as well.

As end to a perfect day, we had a 1-hour massage. The masseuses brought massage tables so we could have it inside the hotel room. They also requested to dim the lights and add music, creating that relaxing ambiance that I liked. The massage was so relaxing, and I would recommend it to those who would like loosen up their muscles and enjoy a complete hotel experience at Lanson Place.
