On a recent trip to Austin, I stayed overnight with old friends. They asked if I wanted to go out for dinner or stay at home. It was a Sunday, and after a long week of travel and meetings, an evening in was welcome.
My friends began to cook, and they settled on a meal of steamed green beans, baked sweet potatoes, and roasted salmon. The combination of colorful foods on a plate sounded cheerful. When I asked if they wanted assistance, they declined, saying it was an easy meal.
