FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Can I make these Buffalo Ranch Meatballs in the oven instead?

Yes, you can bake these at 350°F for 10 minutes. Flip them over and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the meatballs are heated through.

What if I don’t have a 3-4 quart Crock Pot?

You can use any larger size one you have. They just might cook faster.

What is best served with meatballs?

I love having a side of ranch, carrots, and celery sticks to serve with Buffalo Ranch Meatballs (kind of like what you would serve with wings). Any other apps will go great with these meatballs.

Can I use a different sauce for these meatballs?

Yes, you can use barbecue sauce as a substitute for the wing sauce if you don’t want any spice.

Do I need to defrost the meatballs first?

No. They go in frozen. Keep in mind, frozen meatballs are already fully cooked. We are just warming them up here and letting the flavors mingle with the other flavors we’re adding.

How can I keep these warm when serving?

Yes. Keep in mind that some brands of slow cookers seem to still get really hot, even on the keep warm setting. I have only ever gone to 2-3 hours before I noticed the buffalo sauce was starting to burn.

How should I store leftover Meatballs?

You can keep this in the fridge for up to 4 days.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (SEE RECIPE CARD BELOW FOR THE FULL RECIPE)

  • frozen homestyle meatballs– You can choose any brand of meatballs. I just wouldn’t recommend an Italian style meatball. You can use Homemade Meatballs or chicken meatballs. If making your own meatballs, I’d park bake them in the oven first so they don’t release as much grease in the slow cooker.
  • ranch seasoning– you can use a packet of whatever ranch seasoning you enjoy, or use some Homemade Ranch Seasoning.
  • Frank’s Red Hot wing sauce– You can use any brand of wing sauce, but I think Frank’s has the best flavor.
  • green onions– This is an optional ingredient used for serving
  • ranch or blue cheese dressing– another optional ingredient, used for serving.
