Mason Jar Ice Cream- Sugar Free

If you’re looking for a fun, simple ice cream recipe, this Mason Jar Ice Cream has been made for generations. Only four ingredients, and sugar free options too!

A spoonful of thick, creamy yogurt is being lifted from a glass jar.

Aimee’s Recipe Notes

Taste & Texture: creamy vanilla ice cream!

Tools Needed: Just a wide mouth mason jar and lid. Plus a little muscle to shake.

Prep Note: this ice cream needs to freeze for at least 4 hours. I like to make it the night before so it sets up perfectly.

Top Tip: I love using Besti sweeteners. They don’t leave the cooling aftertaste like other brands!

Just Four Ingredients

  • Heavy Whipping Cream- this full fat cream creates the perfect texture for today’s sugar free ice cream.
  • Powdered Sugar- use regular confectioner’s sugar, or make it sugar free and use powdered monk fruit or Stevia.
  • Vanilla- I prefer using pure vanilla extract. But for an even richer flavor, use vanilla bean paste!

More Flavor Options

Strawberry- use a no sugar added freeze dried strawberry in this ice cream. Pulse the freeze dried strawberries a couple times (keeping some chunks) and shake it into the cream.

Chocolate Chip- if keeping this ice cream sugar free, add some sugar free chocolate chips (or regular if that’s your thing). I love using Lily’s Chocolate chips!

Chocolate- love chocolate? Add 2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder to the cream and shake. Drizzle with sugar free chocolate syrup when serving.

Add all the ingredients into a pint sized mason jar and shake.

  • Choose a wide mouth jar for easy serving.
