Aimee’s Recipe Notes
Taste and Texture- juicy pork flavored with pineapple, bbq sauce and spicy pepperjack cheese. The pork has a fork tender texture.
Ease- Using already cooked pulled pork makes this dinner ready in 30 minutes!
Tools- Use either a 13×9 or cookie sheet to assemble these sliders.
Top Tip- Line your pan with foil to make easy clean up!
Instead of honey baked ham and instant pot mashed potatoes these Pulled Pork Sliders are on the menu instead.
They’re just the right size to eat as dinner or a snack watching the game. Plus they’re satisfying without filling you up—which means there’s more room for Artichoke Jalapeno Dip.

The full ingredient list is in the recipe card at the bottom of the post, but here are some highlights.
- Slider buns – Any kind you like. Hawaiian rolls are my go-to, but pretzel rolls work as well.
- Cooked pulled pork – You can use homemade or store-bought for a shortcut. Leftover Root Beer Pulled Pork or Instant Pot Hawaiian Pulled Pork are delicious here.
- Barbecue sauce – Use your favorite!
- Canned, sliced pineapple – This might just be my favorite part! I love the sweetness they add.
- Red onion – Slice this very thinly. You want it to add flavor and a little bit of texture, but not so much that you’re distracted by the crunch.
- Pepperjack cheese – This adds a little bit of kick and lots of melty goodness! It also helps hold the sliders together.
- Sweet-and-savory glaze – A mixture of butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt, and light brown sugar makes the buns mouthwateringly delicious.
- Sesame seeds – For sprinkling on top of the slider buns.

Tips and Tricks
- If you prefer coleslaw, you can skip the layer of pineapple and pile on a scoop of homemade coleslaw after baking.
- You can also add pickle slices either instead of or in addition to the pineapple if you like them.
- I prefer my buns crispier, so I bake mine for about 20 minutes. If you’d like them softer, 15 minutes might be perfect!
- This is a recipe that’s easy to customize to your own tastes and preferences. Feel free to switch up the cheese and other toppings!
