Quick, cheesy Texas Toast Pizzas are perfect for busy nights or fun family dinners—cheesy, meaty, garlicky, buttery, and customizable for everyone!

20-MINUTE GARLIC BREAD PIZZAS

Looking for a quick, kid-approved (and adult approved!) dinner idea that’s as fun to make as it is to eat? These Texas Toast Pizzas are the perfect recipe. With their crispy, garlic buttery base and endless topping possibilities, these personal pizzas are a quick way to have a yummy pizza night. Using frozen garlic bread Texas Toast is the perfect (and delicious!) shortcut. I love having fun with Garlic Texas Toast and use it for lots of recipes like: Texas Toast French Dips, Texas Toast Sloppy Joes, Texas Toast Chicken Parmesan Pizzas.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What toppings could I add?

The toppings are endless. You can use whatever toppings you enjoy on regular pizzas. Grilled onions, ham pieces, ground beef, diced peppers, olives, mushrooms, and banana peppers. If you don’t want Italian sausage, just leave it out. This is more of an idea than it is an exact recipe.

Can I use regular Texas Toast instead of Garlic Texas Toast?

You can use regular Texas Toast but I would add a light layer of garlic butter. You can make your own garlic butter by using softened butter and garlic powder or make some fancier Garlic Herb Butter. Then bake the toast for a few minutes before moving on to the rest of the recipe. You could even use any leftover hamburger or hot dog buns and make some garlic bread out of those the same way. We did that a lot as a kid to use up leftover buns.

What to serve with Garlic Toast Pizzas?

Anything you enjoy with regular pizzas is what would go great with these Texas Toast Pizzas! A nice garden salad with some steamed vegetables would work nicely.

Can I use other sauce?

Sure, change up the pizza sauce for other options like Pesto Sauce or Alfredo sauce for a few more fun twists.

How to store leftovers?

You can keep the cooked pizzas in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can reheat in the oven or air fryer at 350° F for 3-5 minutes or until heated through.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (SEE RECIPE CARD BELOW FOR THE FULL RECIPE)

  • Italian sausage– you can use ground beef instead of sausage if desired. Additionally, you can leave the meat off.
  • frozen garlic Texas Toast – use any brand you like. The Wal-mart great value brand is my go-to usually. Some of them have different cooking temperatures and time so you really want to go with what is on the back of the box.
  • warmed pizza sauce– you can whatever your favorite pizza sauce brand is or you can make some Homemade Pizza Sauce.
  • shredded mozzarella cheese– I really like the Kraft Shredded Mozzarella Cheese that has the Philadelphia Cream Cheese in it. I think it melts so much better but obviously, any brand of shredded mozzarella cheese will work or you can shred it yourself.
  • pepperoni slices
  • dried parsley– this is an optional garnish for your pizza slices. Instead of parsley, you can use Italian seasoning or dried oregano for even more flavor.
  • red pepper flakes – this is an optional topping.

HOW TO MAKE TEXAS TOAST PIZZAS

Cook and crumble Italian sausage. Drain any excess grease. Preheat the oven to the temperature on the garlic Texas Toast box. On a parchment paper-lined baking sheet add the Texas Toast. Cook the toast according to the directions. Flip halfway through cooking so both sides are toasted. This will take approximately 7-9 minutes. Remove the toast from the oven. To each slice add about 1 Tablespoon of pizza sauce.
