What You Need
Miami Vice recipe uses ingredients that are all easy to find in your local supermarket and liquor store!
Note: Scroll to the recipe card at the bottom for the ingredients quantities and full detailed method.

- White rum – you can use any brand of white rum (light rum) you like. I like to use Malibu or Bacardi for this recipe. Dark rum is not suitable.
- Strawberries – I recommend using frozen strawberries if you can, as they provide the perfect texture for the frozen daiquiri (and you can make it all year round!), however fresh strawberries can also be used.
- Lime juice – squeeze the juice from fresh lime, or use fresh lime juice ready squeezed.
- Simple syrup – this simple sugar syrup can be purchased from Dan Murphys or your local liquor store.
- Coconut cream – also known as cream of coconut, or substitute with coconut milk.
- Pineapple juice – the classic tropical Pina colada ingredient!
- Ice cubes.

Expert Tips
Here’s how to make the perfect Miami Vice cocktail recipe!
- Both the daiquiri and pina colada should have a slushy-like texture when blended. If they’re too runny, then add extra ice cubes and blend until smooth and slushy.
- Freeze the strawberry daiquiri while you prepare the pina colada to stop it from melting.
- Garnish your Miami Vice cocktail – with a fresh strawberry or a pineapple wedge on the side of the cocktail glass.
- Serve immediately – this cocktail is best served icy cold!
